In this module we will look at ways to incorporate accessibility from the very start of the design process by identifying the needs of users with disabilities or impairments. We will explain how providing an enjoyable user experience for all can benefit users and companies alike.

Introduction to Accessible User Experience
The 7 principles of Universal design and the ways they can be applied to designing for an accessible user experience.
Vision Impairments - Low vision
These lessons include first-hand experiences from low vision users and the various conditions that can lead to low vision issues, as well as guidance on page layouts, fonts, element design, etc. and how they can impact on a low vision user’s experience of a website.
Vision Impairments - Colour Blindness
Software available to users with colour blindness, how altering colour can be helpful, and the types of colour blindness that affect this user group.
Vision impairments - Blindness
Users who are blind, the barriers they face daily, and the software used to overcome those barriers are covered in this topic. We will learn about screen readers and how they interact with websites, how using tables can help this user group, and the best way to present information to blind users.
