Requirements

·       Ensure that information conveyed with colour is also available without colour.

·       Ensure that foreground and background color combinations provide sufficient contrast.

·       Follow current Web Content Accessibility Guidelines with regards to colour conformance:

  • For colour contrast to meet AA standard (4.5:1)
  • For colour contrast to meet AAA standard (7:1)
  • Colour of link text differs from surrounding link text by 3:1.

·       The visual presentation of UI components and Graphical objects have a contrast ratio of at least 3:1 against adjacent colour(s)

Ensure that patterned backgrounds (where used) have a transparency of at least 80:20 ratio
