What are Toggle Switches

Toggle switches are among the most commonly used components in User Interface (UI) and User eXperience (UX) design.

In UI and UX, a toggle switch has two distinct states. Users may use a toggle switch to turn something on or off, e.g. Dark Mode on a website/webpage.

In a way, toggle switches and radio buttons are similar, as you can achieve the same result with a question and two radio buttons as the answers.

However, there is a difference. A radio button requires positive action (save, submit, etc.). It is best practice for the effect of the toggle switch to begin immediately.
